About
Our WildCamps are therapeutic overnight camps designed to be accessible for children of all abilities, particularly those who may not have felt comfortable or confident attending traditional camps.
These camps offer a blend of adventure, nature, and therapeutic support, helping campers explore the outdoors, connect with peers, and build confidence in a secure, structured environment.
The 'Why' Behind WildCamps
WildCamps were created with the goal of giving every child the opportunity to enjoy a camping experience that is safe, supportive, and inclusive. For children who may not have been able to attend school or community camps, WildCamps provide a nurturing space to foster independence, social skills, and self-confidence. With small groups of six campers and a 1:2 therapist-to-child ratio, each child can explore nature and develop at their own pace while feeling secure and supported.

Activities at WildCamps
Our camps combine structured, therapeutic activities with free exploration, creating a balanced experience that aligns with each child’s goals, whether social, emotional, or physical. Activities include:
-
Nature Adventures: Orienteering, nature walks, and bushcraft connect campers with the natural world. Based on group interest, we may also explore nearby Cowarra Forest or Cowarra Dam.
-
Outdoor Skills: Practical camping skills like tent setup, bush survival, and cooking over a campfire (weather permitting) encourage independence and resilience.
-
Physical Play: Activities such as mountain biking and structured games foster physical fitness, teamwork, and coordination.
-
Creative Crafting: Campers engage in nature-based arts and crafts, like lantern-making, weaving, and creating art from natural materials, which allow for creative expression.
Flexible, Client-Led Schedule
Our camp schedule includes structured activities to build skills and confidence, but we also recognise the value of flexibility. Campers are encouraged to relax, explore independently, or create their own fun. Our team adapts the schedule based on each group’s interests, ensuring a fulfilling experience.
NDIS Funding and Private Payment Options
WildCamps are eligible for NDIS Short Term Accommodation (STA) funding. For those without STA access, Capacity Building or Core supports may be applicable. We also welcome privately paying clients, with payment plans available to ensure accessibility. Please contact our Director to discuss options.
Limited Availability
With small group sizes and high demand, spaces fill up quickly. Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) is the first step, but please note it does not guarantee placement.
